What is the difference between Moto pedals and "conventional" Pedals?
MOTO pedals are designed for everyday urban life and allow direct power transmission, similar to clipless pedals, regardless of footwear. Built around the axle, each part can be replaced or customized for a lifetime use.

Noticable difference:
• No more pressure points on the foot sole
• Better power transmission
• Dry or wet, consistent grip
• Easier positioning of the feet
• Low maintenance, high durablility
• Adjustable Q-Factor for more foot space

The Moto pedal is the world's flattest platform pedal in overall profile and one of the lightest. And a real Moto will turn heads on a fixie, commuter or e-bike.
What are the differences between the models?

Is there a weight limit for the pedals?
We´ve tested Moto pedals up to 185 kg. Despite the lightweight and flat design, they are oriented to the highest imaginable loads, because we designed them for extreme sports. They are used by bike messengers who sprint every day, as well as professional BMX riders to perform jumps. In everyday use, our flat pedals should more than meet the requirements.
How can I avoid creaking pedals or pedal noise?
Pedal noises are in 99% of cases related to the connection between the crank and the pedals, or to incorrect assembly, and can be easily fixed.
For this, the pedals do not need to be opened.

The following step is usually all you need:
1. Unscrew the pedals.
2. Clean and grease the crank pedal thread and the pedal thread thoroughly.
3. Screw the pedals back on.

NOTE: Grease must be used here (as oils are unsuitable as a lubricant on bicycles, have almost no load-bearing capacity and will worsen the problem). We recommend our MOTO Pedal Grease in the Refresh Kit.

For this purpose, we have produced an assembly video.
Do the pedals fit all bikes?
Yes. The pedals have the same thread size as other pedals, namely a 9 /16 thread.
Doesn´t griptape wear off very fast?
We were surprised ourselves at how long it lasted. After about half a year of daily, continuous sporting use, the grip decreases by around 20%. If you always need maximum grip, you should change it and it will be like new. For a daily driver, the grip tape lasts much longer and the remaining grip is more than sufficient for this purpose. If you ever want to replace the grip tape, you can get the pair for 7.50 euros in our Webshop. The assembly is very easy to carry out and takes about 5 minutes.
How can I clean the griptape surface?
We use extra grippy griptape, so it can happen they also attract leaves. The contact surfaces can be cleaned with a toothbrush and/or a stream of waterlearn more.
Why are the grip tapes only available in packs of 2 instead of 4?
We offer the spare Griptapes in sets of 2 because of the combination possibilities, so for example, you can ride one side of the pedals in one color and the other side with a design.
Do the Reflex Tapes need to be removed to lubricate the pedals?
No, the Reflex Tapes do not need to be removed for this. Our modular system makes it possible to open the pedal housing without removing the reflective strips.
Are Moto pedals waterproof?
The griptape is waterproof. The wooden pedals are waterproof glued and sealed. Rain rides are no problem, you can move freely in wet weather conditions and enjoy the grip benefits compared to conventional pedals.
Our parts are made of the best materials that are available on the market in terms of performance, weight and dimensions. Such parts are usually maintenance intensive where as our pedals virtually maintenance free. If you store your bike outside throughout heavy snow all winter or in a consistently wet environment, our pedals will weather about the same as your seat and grips.
Do I have to grease the pedals after specific period?
There is no specific frequency for greasing the pedals. If needed, you can easily grease and adjust the slide bearing as described in our manual. Most riders in our team grease the pedals once a year. After this, the pedals run like new again.

Common questions
Can I use these flat pedals barefoot on a bike tour?
Can I use these pedals on my road bike or recumbent bike?
Can I use these flat pedals barefoot on a bike tour?
Moto pedals are ideal for barefoot cycling, as the foot is stable on a closed surface instead of on a few cm² - as with conventional platform pedals. This means your power is transmitted evenly (instead of punctually). The ultra-flat profile behaves in a similar way as barefoot shoes.

If your feet are too soft and the (sandpaper-like) pedal surface feels too rough, you can easily peel it off like a sticker. Now, you can even ride without grip or re-stick your pedal: with a finer-grained skateboard griptape or with another self-adhesive anti-slip surface.

Can I use these pedals on my road bike or recumbent bike?
